Introduction
Why do people play games? Obviously because they enjoy them…but what is their motivation. Ask a hundred people, you’ll probably get a hundred different answers. The reality is it depends on a number of factors.
“Exactly what is your point?”
My point is this. No matter what your answer might have been, I believe that it really only comes down to five basic reasons:
- For fun
- For the challenge
- To relax
- Money/prizes
- To interact with people
Think about your answer. I bet it is close or closely connected to one or more of the five. It is my belief that social multiplayer gaming events combine all five reasons into one place and time. Therefore it is my desire to provide information on the best social multiplayer gaming events for the greater Portland/Vancouver area. Gamers have longed for the opportunity to come together in order to compete for cash, prizes, and most importantly…citywide bragging rights.
This site is to provide you and your friends both information and opportunities to enter Portland’s gaming community. I chose the Xbox 360 platform simply because is is the best for what I am trying to do…connect gamers together. If you are interested in tournaments, ladders, and/or leagues, then as we like to say, Don’t Play…Compete.
