While I don’t think the next Halo franchise is gonna come from the kid next door, I do think the XNA project as a whole is a good thing.  It will be good for gamers, and it will be good for Microsoft.  It has been great as a tool for motivating youth about possible careers in software development.  By the way, if you don’t know what XNA this video out:
